Outfit Post: Floral Leggings

I recently went to London and being the Lana Del Rey fan that I am, decided to wear two items from her collection with H&M. I clearly took inspiration from the store’s ad campaign and can’t claim to have done any amazing or original styling with this outfit, but I did want to talk about these pieces.

Jumper £19.99, Leggings £9.99, H&M Chain and Bracelet, Forever 21 Boots

I fell in love with the jumper as soon as I saw it. It had a sort of cotton candy vibe in the images. But as 90% of it is made from angora (bunny hair), it was the itchiest thing I have ever worn, even with a t-shirt under it. It also malts like crazy - great if you’re in fancy dress as a pink Yeti, not great if you’re standing on a crowded train full of men in black suits (sorry to anyone that ended up with a furry jacket). H&M do, however, offer a few similar jumpers that I doubt would be as itchy.

I surprised myself by buying the leggings, as I never normally wear bold print on my bottom half. I love them though, and the print is beautiful. Although they’re from an autumn collection, they are very spring-like, so I found some darker alternatives for the winter months.

H&M £9.99; Boohoo £10; New Look £12.99; Miss Selfridge £22; Black Milk £49.01

If you want to wear floral leggings but feel that an all over pattern might be unflattering or too bold, there are some subtler styles out there. Go for a dark pattern, like this pair from Marks and Spencer (below) or look out for panels of floral print.

M&S £9.50; Next £16; Asos £18

They look great with oversized jumpers and black leather jackets.
